This course focuses on the evaluation of systems in terms of organizational goals, systems goals, resources utilized, and the relevant operational, functional, process and strategic impacts. Basic measurement theory and techniques as well as specialized systems evaluation measures and techniques are addressed. A term project involving the evaluation of a real-world system is required. Particular attention is paid to organizational contexts in which significant transformations such as globalization, new commitments to knowledge management, or outsourcing, are taking place.
