No matter what your specialty, performing your job effectively will require you to retrieve data from databases, manipulate it with business intelligence tools, and perform analyses with decision support systems. Financial analysts rely on data drawn from enterprise systems; marketing and sales managers work extensively with customer relationship management systems. Introducing new products and services requires development of new systems; developing new ventures involves creating infrastructures that support growth and innovation. Across all industries, areas, and specializations, your career and corporate success will require that you be able to bring together people, policies, and technology to implement and use complex information systems. By providing knowledge and experience with key technologies and management techniques, the Information Systems concentrations at Katz develop your ability to recognize and capitalize on opportunities to use information systems to provide tangible business value and advance your career by increasing efficiency, supporting growth, and enabling innovation.

The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business offers two concentrations in Information Systems: IS Design/Application and IS Management and Leadership. Selecting either of the IS concentrations advances your career by providing both expertise and credentials which distinguish you from other MBA graduates by documenting your ability to contribute in this key aspect of business and management.
