Katz integrates experienced-based learning across its curriculum. You will put the skills and concepts learned in the classroom into action through internships, corporate and community projects, and by interacting with visiting executives and managers from a variety of industries. The Katz MBA/MS-MIS Dual-Degree Program propels the careers of its graduates to the next level, by building their management and technical expertise, leveraging their background and experience, and preparing them to lead IT-enabled business initiatives. As business and IT consultants, IS directors, systems analysts, project managers, marketing managers, pricing analysts, IT auditors, and entrepreneurs, Katz MBA/MS-MIS graduates have increased firm efficiency, improved performance, and supported innovation in industries from banking to healthcare to manufacturing.
Second Year MBA/MS-MIS students completed their summer internships in orgnaizations like Walmart Stores Inc, Bristol-Myers Squibb and US Steel.

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. is an American public corporation that runs a chain of large, discount department stores. It is the world's largest public corporation by revenue, according to the 2008 Fortune Global 500.
Founded by Sam Walton in 1962, it was incorporated on October 31, 1969, and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1972. It is the largest private employer in the world and the fourth largest utility or commercial employer, trailing the British National Health Service, and the Indian Railways. Wal-Mart is the largest grocery retailer in the United States, with an estimated 20% of the retail grocery and consumables business, as well as the largest toy seller in the U.S. It also owns and operates the North American company, Sam's Club.

Internship Experience
Worked on IT business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning for Wal-Mart’s International systems. In addition, helped the IS Enterprise Risk Management team to align with the company’s Global Security division and corporate business continuity planning efforts. Helped organize and coordinate Cobit and ISO 27001/2 assessment, evaluation and risk mitigation management at the company.

The United States Steel Corporation is an integrated steel producer with major production operations in the United States, Canada, and central Europe. The company is the world's seventh-largest steel producer ranked by sales (see list of steel producers). It was renamed USX Corporation in 1991 and back to United States Steel Corporation in 2001 when the shareholders of USX spun off its steel-making assets following the acquisition of Marathon Oil in 1982. It is still the largest domestically owned integrated steel producer in the United States, although it produces only slightly more steel than it did in 1902.

Internship Experience
Interaction with people throughout the company at all locations understanding the role of technology in a very large non-IT corporation. Worked in the Networking part of the Customer Enablement group, which ensures that employees have access to technology according to their needs and also that the various technologies deployed are maintained functional and upgraded when needed.
